In-House Steelwork Fabrication
Our fabrication department runs on a “just in time for site” basis using numerous CNC and computer software packages that provide a highly productive and efficient system of work. We use ”Fabtrol”, an industry specific management of information system that has been tailored to our needs, to help organise and run our production process.

Information is created from our in-house Strucad Drawing Office and then imported into the Fabtrol system, which in turn generates data for use within the workshop. Data is downloaded to our CNC Ficep 903 DB saw and drilling line and CNC Ficep F504/8 PS automatic punching / shear angle and flat line. The benefits of using these automated systems and software packages leads to a reduction in labour costs and enhanced site deliveries without the need for large storage facilities.
Our highly skilled and experienced workforce is producing 150 to 200 tonnes of fabricated structural steelwork per week on a flexible day and night basis throughout the year. We have our own in-house Inspection Quality Assurance system and using the Fabtrol purchasing package this enables us to have full material treceability if needed. All our work is generally produced in accordance with the latest edition of the National Structural Steelwork Specification.
