bullet Quality Steelwork Erection

Modern steelwork erection techniques, along side innovative health & safety systems add to the already excellent service provided by our qualified steelwork erection teams.

Man working at height

TAAG Safety Systems and quick release lifting shackles are examples of how we are leading the industry by using safe systems of work during steelwork erection. Our steel erectors now use Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWP’s) on all projects, reducing risk at height and time on site.

TAAG prides itself on the number of erectors that we directly employ, providing the flexibility of manpower for the various numbers of steelwork contracts we undertake. This is demonstrated by the fact that we are awarded contracts from other major steelwork contractors on an “erection only” basis. All our erectors and managing supervisors carry the necessary certification to satisfy the stringent requirements of the Main Contractors Group (MCG).

Upon the award of a contract, our internal health and safety advisor visits the project site a number of weeks prior to start of steelwork erection. Project specific Method Statements including erection plans and programmes of works are then produced to the approval of the Main Contractor's site team. The Method Statement includes a very detailed description of how the work is to be carried out along with the necessary risk assessments.
